Request for on the day appointments
Due to changes in the NHS and how it is funded, you may be asked to attend
other treatment centres when requesting an on the day appointment.
These are provided by the Swindon Success Centres which are
based at Moredon Medical Centre and Swindon NHS Health Centre.
Appointments can be booked for you by reception at a time that is
convenient to you. This is NOT a sit and wait service.
Appointments are available 7 days a week 8am-8pm at Moredon Medical Centre and
Monday-Friday 7am-8pm and weekends 8am-8pm at Swindon NHS Health Centre.
You can also attend the Urgent Care Centre at Great Western Hospital.
The NHS Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service is the easy
way for you to order your repeat prescription. Call 01793 683755.
The prescription ordering direct service is currently available
Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm.
Mondays are the busiest day.
Call waiting times are shorter Tuesdays - Fridays.
Children & Young People Clinic
Due to changes within the NHS and how it is funded, you may be asked
to contact the above clinic on 0300 111 0088.
Available 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday.
Patients can refer to this service themselves. Your call will be dealt
with by a clinical practitioner who will give you the advice you require.
This service is based at Moredon Medical Centre.
You can also attend Swindon NHS Health Centre or the Urgent Care Centre
based at Great Western Hospital.
Do you need to see a GP or could you be seen in the minor ailments clinic or by a Health Care Assistant?
The practice nurse is available to treat and prescribe for minor ailments including: Coughs, Colds, Ear ache, Sore Throat, UTI, Skin Problems, Contraception, Pill checks, BP medication review.
Our Health Care Assistants are able to assist with: BP, ECG, Suture removal, Weight, Height, Dressing if already seen by the practice nurse, Pneumonia Vaccinations, B12 Injections and Ear Syringing.
DEDICATED TELEPHONE LINE TO CANCEL APPOINTMENTS
We have introduced a dedicated telephone line where you can leave a message to cancel appointments you have with the practice team. Please ring 01793 482824 and leave a message with your name and appointment date and time and we will cancel the appointment for you. This service is available 24 hours a day.
